The New York Knicks are one win away from the Eastern Conference semifinals.

They finished the season with the second-best record in the East behind only the Boston Celtics, and they look like the strongest candidate to challenge them for a spot in the NBA Finals.

Even so, they also seem one star away from making a big run, whether it’s Julius Randle when he comes back to full strength or someone else.

Notably, they have more than enough assets to pull off a big trade in the offseason.

And, with all the buzz surrounding the Phoenix Suns and Devin Booker, it seems like there could be fire behind that smoke.

According to a report by Suns insider Gerald Bourguet, the Knicks’ interest in Booker is quite real (via NBACentral).

The New York Knicks are reportedly ‘willing to offer almost anything’ to pair Devin Booker with Jalen Brunson, per @GeraldBourguet

As a matter of fact, they would be willing to do “almost anything” to get him to Madison Square Garden.

They believe he would be a great fit in the backcourt next to Jalen Brunson, giving them an elite one-two scoring punch there.

Bourguet also reports that the Knicks have been keeping tabs on Booker since Leon Rose took over in 2020.

Booker’s camp recently denied Stephen A. Smith’s report of Booker wanting to play for the Knicks.

Nonetheless, he doesn’t have a no-trade clause like Bradley Beal.

And as much as the Suns would hate to move on from their franchise player, it might be the only way to replenish their draft capital and build a team for years to come.
