Instead of talking about the Los Angeles Lakers’ shortcomings, everybody in the NBA is talking about LeBron James’ future again.
That’s what happens when you’re one of the greatest to ever do it and a master at staying in front of the news cycle.
Then again, as much as he wants people to think he could walk away, those who have been around the game for long just don’t see that happening.
That includes sports analyst Craig Carton and former NBA star Tim Hardaway Sr.
Even so, most people agree that James would only come back to play for the Lakers.
Moreover, Hardaway immediately shut down the notion of a potential Miami Heat reunion, stating that something happened between him and Pat Riley, so the Heat president simply wouldn’t go down that road again (via The Carton Show).

While Hardaway didn’t get into specifics, that rift is one of the worst-kept secrets in NBA history.
LeBron reportedly tried to get Erik Spoelstra fired, and Riley told him to stay in his lane, which eventually led to his departure.
Notably, James also had countless issues with Dan Gilbert in Cleveland during his days with the Cavaliers, so that’s a bit of a trend there.
James isn’t going to retire, and he’s likely not changing teams again, either.
Three teams is more than enough for a player of his caliber, and while he states that he doesn’t have anything else to prove at this point in his career — which he doesn’t — that’s just not a good look for him.
