LeBron James averaged 25.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 8.3 assists in 2023-24, proving that even though he’s 39 years old, he is still one of the most competitive players in the league.
That being said, his chances of winning another championship before retiring are slipping away, especially if the Los Angeles Lakers don’t get better.
So, what is the best way for James to earn another ring before he walks off the court for the last time?
On “Get Up,” Timothy Legler said that James would be wise to say goodbye to the Lakers and the Western Conference entirely.
“It’s the path of least resistance in the Eastern Conference,” Legler said.

Some fans think that James would be able to dominate the entire league if he moved to teams like the New York Knicks or Philadelphia 76ers.
This would give him the best chance of another championship win, they claim, because the East is a weaker conference.
According to Legler and others, the Western Conference is just too stacked.
Teams like the Denver Nuggets, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Oklahoma City Thunder are not going to let the Lakers go far in the playoffs unless something changes.
Legler said that the team could get better with a massive trade for a superstar player.
But short of that, the Lakers aren’t going to be able to find a lot of success.
The good news for Lakers fans is that there is a chance big changes are coming to the team in the summer.
They are indeed aiming to land a third superstar on the roster to help James and Anthony Davis next season.
Therefore, LA’s chances of winning might improve and James could find a path to the championship with his current team.
