Like many others, Colin Cowherd believes that the Los Angeles Clippers just aren’t doing enough right now.
Their massive defeat at the hands of the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday was very troubling for multiple reasons.
It was yet another example of the Clippers falling short of expectations.
Cowherd said that “making the playoffs is not enough” for the Clippers because the fans are demanding a lot more after years and years of them not capitalizing on their potential, via “The Herd.”
“They’ve had their opportunities… Making the playoff is not enough.”

Cowherd noted that the Clippers have reached the playoffs plenty of times during this era of the NBA.
At this point, they need to do more than simply get into the postseason.
Instead, they have to win it all or else they will consistently be seen as a disappointment.
That is definitely true this season, as the team has its best lineup in years.
The combination of Paul George, James Harden, Kawhi Leonard, and Russell Westbrook seems tailor-made for great success.
And after a rough start at the start of the year, the Clippers got their act together and started winning a lot of games.
But they have fallen short again in the postseason and now stand on the verge of being eliminated in the opening round.
The Clippers have a lot of competition to be the top team in Los Angeles.
The Lakers are the dominant squad in the city, while the Dodgers are a huge draw too.
Cowherd said that the Clippers feel like little brothers to the Lakers and haven’t been able to make a name for themselves.
They are getting a brand new arena next season and have one of the most attractive rosters in the league.
But even with all that, the Clippers are still considered second-best and will be until they do more than just get to the playoffs.
