One of the most entertaining first-round matchups in the NBA playoffs has been, without a doubt, the New York Knicks taking on the Philadelphia 76ers.
Although the second-seeded Knicks were the favorites coming into this series, especially with superstar center Joel Embiid on the mend, that hasn’t been the case through the first five games.
Philadelphia has been able to work its way into this series with the Knicks by winning two of the last three games, forcing a Game 6 back in Philadelphia at Wells Fargo Center.
Both teams in this series have dealt with injuries, with the Knicks not having Julius Randle, who is officially done for the year, and Embiid being nowhere near 100% after knee surgery.
Despite the injury issues, both teams have had their moments, and Brian Windhorst of ESPN believes this series will go the distance, via NBA on ESPN.
“This series is giving us everything we could ask for!” Windhorst said.

Although the Knicks appear to be the superior team in this series and own the 3-2 series lead ahead of the series shifting back to Philadelphia, the 76ers aren’t backing down and are getting an incredible performance out of guard Tyrese Maxey.
As of right now, Philadelphia is favored to win at home in Game 6, but given the way this series has gone over the first five games, this game could easily go either way.
It will all depend on the stars in this series and who shows up moving forward.
