The Minnesota Timberwolves were elated when they earned their spot in the second round of the playoffs but they were disappointed to hear they could be without their head coach.
Chris Finch was recently injured during a Timberwolves-Phoenix Suns game when Mike Conley accidentally collided with him on the sidelines.
The injury was quite severe and he required knee surgery.
But Finch is bouncing back and, according to Shams Charania, there is increased optimism that he will be seated near the bench during the Timberwolves-Denver Nuggets series.

However, assistant coach Micah Nori will “take the more active role” because Finch will have limited mobility during the game.
The bench will be crowded with a lot of coaching staff members and players for the Timberwolves but apparently Finch will be there too.
Just a day after his surgery, Finch was on the sidelines during a Timberwolves practice, coaching his team and helping them prepare for the highly anticipated series against the Nuggets.
The Nuggets are going to be a much tougher opponent than the Suns and some people believe that this is the series to watch in the playoffs.
If the Timberwolves beat the Nuggets, they will not only take down the reigning champions but also move on to the Western Conference Finals.
Finch is a hugely valuable part of the Timberwolves organization and was a candidate for Coach of the Year.
He has been leading the T-Wolves since 2020 after years of being an assistant coach for the Houston Rockets, Denver Nuggets, New Orleans Pelicans, and Toronto Raptors.
2023-24 was the Timberwolves’ most successful season in years, bringing them a ton of attention and accolades as well as a 57-26 record.
