After seven games, the Cleveland Cavaliers took down the Orlando Magic to earn entry to the second round of the playoffs.

That means they are now set to face off against a team that many people believe could win the championship this year: the Boston Celtics.

Speaking on “Nightcap,” Shannon Sharpe said that the Cavaliers have their hands full with the Celtics and it’ll be very hard for them to win the series.

He said that the Cavaliers will need a lot more than just Donovan Mitchell to score any wins and they would be helped with the return of Jarrett Allen.

Even though the Celtics won’t have Kristaps Porzingis, Sharpe thinks the Celtics are going to win the second round.

Most people agree that the Celtics have the upper hand in this series for a number of reasons.

Despite a regular season that featured multiple long stretches of victories, the Cavaliers were inconsistent toward the end of the season and at the start of the playoffs.

Plus, they are without Allen, their celebrated big man.

They have strong shooting abilities but the Cavaliers are also streaky, good one game and then bad the next.

Meanwhile, the Celtics have been perhaps the most consistent team in the league all season.

They are shorthanded right now because Porzingis is out but the team has ways of winning even without his contributions.

They are feared by just about every team in the NBA and for good reasons.

Of course, this is a best-of-seven series and the Cavaliers could be smart, pay close attention to what works and what doesn’t, and adjust their plans when needed.

Beating the Celtics is hard but that doesn’t mean it’s impossible.
