The New York Knicks finally have a star.

Every game that goes by, Jalen Brunson proves that Leon Rose was right to believe in him and sign him to that big contract, which looks like a bargain right now.

Brunson hasn’t been in the Big Apple for long, but if he keeps this up, he’s going to go down as one of the greatest players in franchise history.

In the win over the Indiana Pacers, he joined one of the most exclusive clubs in NBA history.

By recording his fourth consecutive 40+ point postseason performance, he joined the likes of Jerry West (6), Bernard King (4), and Michael Jordan (4) as the only four players to get at least four 40+ point playoff games in a row, something that hadn’t been done since 1993 (via NBA TV).

We’re talking about something that not even some of the greatest scorers in NBA history, such as Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, James Harden, Kevin Durant, or Stephen Curry were able to accomplish.

The Knicks are elite on defense but tend to struggle on offense at times, so Brunson has had to bail them out over and over.

Brunson could even take down Jerry West’s streak of six consecutive games but at the end of the day, all he’ll care about is winning basketball games and leading the Knicks back to the mountaintop for the first time in decades.
