The Los Angeles Lakers will be on the hunt for the fourth coach of the LeBron James era.

Needless to say, having four different coaches in six years is far from ideal, and people were quick to blame LeBron for this.

James has always had a reputation for being a “coach killer,” which has been another knock on his GOAT case, according to his detractors.

That’s why sports analyst Nick Wright wanted to clear the air and dismiss that narrative.

Talking on “First Things First,” Wright reviewed James’ coaching history, stating that he wasn’t to blame for any of those coaches being fired.

Granted, James may or may not have been directly involved with that, but he’s always had the power to keep someone around if he chose to do so; that’s just a fact.

Also, to be fair, coaching James comes with championship expectations, which is also why some of the coaches might be on their way out after a short period of time.

One doesn’t have to be a LeBron James hater to realize that he’s always had plenty of leverage wherever he’s been; that’s just what happens when you’re an all-time great.

On top of that, you’re going to have plenty of coaches when you play for as long as LeBron has played.

That shouldn’t affect his legacy as a player, but people shouldn’t overlook it either.
