One of the most intriguing rookies in the NFL this year is Patriots quarterback Drake Maye.

After being drafted No. 3 overall by New England in the NFL Draft a few weeks ago, the former ACC Player of the Year is ready to roll for rookie minicamp.

He spoke with the New England media Tuesday about his thoughts on the upcoming minicamp that will take place for the Pats this upcoming weekend.

“I’m pumped. I’m pumped. We get in on Thursday, so I’m super excited to get with the guys…That’s kinda one of the best parts about coming to a new team is getting acclimated with the guys,” Maye said.

The new era of the New England Patriots starts with the head coach and quarterback duo of Jerod Mayo and Drake Maye.

To see the fire and excitement from Maye should make Patriots fans excited for the season to get underway eventually.

There is plenty of talent to work with for Maye on offense too.

1,000-yard running back Rhamondre Stevenson is still in the fold.

It will be an uphill battle for sure as the season moves forward with this rebuilding team.

However, this is a winning franchise that knows how to develop great players.

Watch out for New England in the coming years.
