The Oklahoma City Thunder are still undefeated in the playoffs.
Somehow, someway, they keep getting overlooked.
We’re talking about an up-and-coming team with a legitimate superstar, plenty of talent, and the best record in the Western Conference, yet some don’t even mention their name when talking about NBA championship contenders.
We’ve reached the second round of the NBA playoffs, so perhaps it’s time pundits and analysts finally give them their flowers.
That’s why Skip Bayless took to Twitter to state that this team might be for real.
The controversial pundit claimed that perhaps the Thunder were as good as their record suggested, and it wasn’t just a regular-season fluke.
Is it possible the Thunder are exactly who their record said they were – best team in the West? You laugh, but … IS IT POSSIBLE?

That’s exactly who they are.
The Thunder were never worse than the No. 4 seed in the stacked Western Conference all season long, and they finished the year with the best record in the conference for a reason.
They’re now 5-0 to start the playoffs, and while the undermanned New Orleans Pelicans weren’t the toughest opponent to beat, they just made a huge statement against Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks, one of the biggest dark horses to win it all this season.
Needless to say, there’s still a lot of basketball to be played, and this team is still 11 wins away from an NBA championship, but it’s about time oddsmakers and analysts talk about them as contenders.
This will be an interesting series and it should be far from over, but it’s also a perfect opportunity to prove just how good and dominant they can be.
