The Minnesota Timberwolves are up 2-0 on the defending NBA champions.
They got a big win in Game 1, and just when everybody thought the Denver Nuggets would storm right back, they beat them by nearly 30 points in Game 2.
More impressively, they did so without the reigning Defensive Player of the Year, as Rudy Gobert missed the game to be there for the birth of his first son.
Gobert had every right to do that, as professional athletes are human beings first and foremost, and this was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Nonetheless, not all NBA players feel the same way.
Unsurprisingly, that includes three-time All-Star Gilbert Arenas.

In the latest edition of his show, the controversial guard ripped Gobert for not suiting up for a playoff game, stating that the baby would still be there by the time he came back.
Arenas stated that Gobert wouldn’t even be able to do anything with the baby because he was going to be asleep, adding that his wife only has that elite NBA healthcare because he plays.
The playoffs are the playoffs, and the Timberwolves need their defensive anchor out there — or so it seemed.
Then again, nobody should talk about other player’s personal decisions, and this is simply bigger than basketball.
Suit up or not, that’s his and his partner’s decision, and he shouldn’t be mocked or criticized for that.
Fortunately for him, it all worked out well and his team won.
But even if that wasn’t the case, it’s just basketball at the end of the day.
