Even before he made it to the NBA, Stephen Curry was overlooked and doubted.

He wasn’t a highly-recruited player and didn’t attend a blue-blood university, and even when he made it to the league, people still weren’t so sure about him.

Even the Golden State Warriors infamously tried to trade him to the Milwaukee Bucks, but the Bucks chose Monta Ellis instead.

Notably, even after everything he’s accomplished, some still continue to snub him.

Charles Barkley was the latest to do so.

Talking on “The Dan Patrick Show,” he stated that as much as he loves Steph and he knew he was going to draw heat because of this take, he’d still take Isiah Thomas over him (via NBACentral).

Charles Barkley says he’s choosing Isiah Thomas over Steph Curry

“If I was in a game, if I had to choose — and I love Steph Curry and I know people gonna go on the internet because they ain’t got no life — if I had to choose between Steph Curry and Isiah, I’d probably go with… pic.twitter.com/QBqpJd62AY

To each his own, and Thomas is one of the greatest point guards this game has ever seen, so there should be no shame in picking him.

He’s also overlooked, most likely because of his well-known feud with Michael Jordan, but he’s also a legend of the game, a tough player, and an elite playmaker and defender.

Also, this shouldn’t be much of a surprise, as Barkley used to rip the Golden State Warriors for being a jump-shooting team, going as far as to say that you couldn’t win a championship that way.

At the end of the day, Curry has done more than enough merits to be considered the best — or one of the best — point guards this game has ever seen.

But if someone isn’t sold on him at this point, that’s not going to change now.
