Throughout the course of the 2023-24 NBA regular season, there has been a lot of speculation about the future of superstar forward Paul George of the Los Angeles Clippers, as he will become an unrestricted free agent this summer.

With the Clippers failing to live up to expectations, even after acquiring James Harden from the Philadelphia 76ers, George could choose to leave the team in NBA free agency, with a few intriguing options for the veteran forward.

One of the most intriguing options is joining forces with Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey in Philadelphia to form a new Big 3 in the Eastern Conference, which might turn out to be a lethal combination next season and beyond.

However, Evan Turner isn’t convinced that George’s move to Philadelphia would be a successful move because he believes that the Clippers forward has a track record of not showing up in the NBA playoffs, much like Embiid, via NBACentral.

“I never met a human that would let a media rumor drive his energy or personality. … You know how soft that team gonna be if he and Embiid go together? It’d probably be the most skilled duo ever since Kobe and Shaq.”

Paul George’s former teammate, Evan Turner, says George has a “history of not showing up” and believes a duo of Paul George and Joel Embiid would be “soft.”

As of right now, there’s no telling what George’s intentions are heading into the NBA offseason, with the Clippers fully intent on re-signing him once he becomes a free agent if he’s open to returning to stay with Harden, Kawhi Leonard, and Russell Westbrook.

Another option for George might be with the Orlando Magic, who will be looking for a dynamic scorer of his caliber in free agency with cap space to spare.
