For the third time in the past four years, Nikola Jokic has been chosen as the NBA’s Most Valuable Player.
The Denver Nuggets star has established himself as the best player on Earth, and some believe he should’ve won four straight.
However, that has never been what he’s after.
If anything, Jokic once admitted that he didn’t even know where his MVP trophies were, adding that they must’ve been somewhere in his house in Serbia.
Unsurprisingly, winning his third MVP didn’t actually change his approach to this honor.
When asked about that, the big man jokingly said that his stable was going worldwide (via NBA TV).

Jokic just joined an elite list of players with at least 3 MVP awards, tying the likes of Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, and Moses Malone.
He’s just one behind Wilt Chamberlain and LeBron James, two behind Bill Russell and Michael Jordan, and has half as many as the legendary Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
The craziest part about this run is that Jokic has done all this in just four years, so there’s a legitimate chance he’ll end up, at the very least, tying LeBron James with four MVP awards once it’s all said and done.
That should speak volumes about his dominance and how much of an impact he’s made over the past couple of years.
Unfortunately, though, he might not be able to go all the way this season, as the Nuggets are down 0-2 and the series is heading to Minnesota for Games 3 and 4.
