The Denver Broncos drafted their possible quarterback of the future at No. 12 overall in Oregon’s Bo Nix this year.

Nix himself has recently made a decision on which jersey number he will be wearing at Mile High.

According to Broncos beat reporter Zac Stevens, Nix will be wearing the No. 10 jersey just like he wore at both Auburn and Oregon.

Per Stevens, former Jets signal-caller Zach Wilson, who was recently traded to Denver, gave him the number.

After Denver decided to move on from Russell Wilson earlier this offseason, they traded for Wilson and drafted the rookie in Nix.

That means the current quarterbacks on the Broncos roster include Nix, Wilson, and Jarrett Stidham.

By the looks of it, Nix should be the future in Denver.

The last Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year started 61 college games in his career across five seasons at both Auburn and Oregon.

He set the NCAA record for the highest single-season completion percentage mark in 2023 at 77.4%.

The fact that he was a five-year starter in college reminds fans of when Sean Payton brought in another longtime college starter with the New Orleans Saints in future Hall-of-Fame quarterback Drew Brees.

Perhaps Nix can turn into that one day.

For now, Denver should take it easy.

To start out the season, the quarterback competition will most likely be an open one.

Stidham is the most experienced NFL player, and Wilson has the most starts under his belt.

In the end, it might just be No. 10’s show if he proves the franchise right.
