The Detroit Lions were one of the most surprising stories of the 2023 NFL Season.

After years of mediocrity and disappointment, the Lions surged last season, making it all the way to the NFC Championship.

They might not have won that game, but by getting there, the Lions proved to themselves and to the rest of the league that they have the right pieces in place to compete.

One of the most important parts of the Lions’ rise to relevance is Dan Campbell, their head coach.

Campbell has been a massive part of this team’s culture, a big reason for their increase in production over the past several years.

The players have latched on to him, and he is now a favorite within the Lions fanbase.

While this is still likely to be the case moving forward, fans and players will have to wait a bit longer to see Campbell back in action.

As a recent Pro Football Talk Article highlighted, Campbell is going to miss the team’s rookie minicamp due to personal factors.

This is a minor setback for the team, especially since Campbell has been a significant driver for the team’s chemistry and overall growth.

Campbell is a very strong-willed individual, and it isn’t like him to miss events like the rookie minicamp.

Fans are certainly concerned with his absence, and ultimately hope that he’ll be back soon, able to impact these rookie players in a big way, getting this team back on track for the upcoming season.

Can the Lions find their way back to the NFC Championship game?
