The New York Knicks are having one of their best seasons in years and are currently up 2-0 over the Indiana Pacers in the second round of the playoffs.

Despite all the success they found this year, Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green recently said that the season is a “fluke” and the Knicks won’t be this good in the near future.

Kendrick Perkins pushed back on the criticism of the Knicks and stood up for the promising team.

“I’m so tired of people trying to find wrong in the Knicks instead of appreciating and applauding what they’re doing right now!!! Real Talk,” he said on Twitter.

Along with his tweet, Perkins also stepped up to defend the Knicks on “First Take” and spoke about why the future is so bright for New York.

He said that their current success is the result of years of planning and organic growth.

The front office has been very smart with their selection of head coach Tom Thibodeau and the players on the roster.

The additions of players like Josh Hart, OG Anunoby, and especially Jalen Brunson have been brilliant moves that have all led to this point.

Even though Green believes that they are just having one impressive moment, Perkins thinks the good times will continue.

He said that the players on the team are great and are only getting better.

Additionally, the Knicks have now become a team that is very attractive to other players, including future free agents.

Perkins brought up the Milwaukee Bucks, who have had yet another rough year.

If Giannis Antetokounmpo decides to leave Milwaukee, maybe he’ll move over to the Knicks and make them even better.

This season has been unquestionably great for the Knicks but Perkins thinks that they will continue to dominate in the future.
