After a long and successful career as the All-Pro starting center of the Philadelphia Eagles, Jason Kelce decided it was time to call it a career after the 2023 NFL season following the team’s epic collapse in the NFL playoffs against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Although he flirted with the idea of retirement for the last few years, the former Eagles star couldn’t walk away from the game, as he feared what was on the horizon in his post-playing days.
Despite the fear of not being able to replace football, the one-time Super Bowl champion has quickly been able to find something else he’s good at, as he has become one of the most popular sports podcasters out there, along with his brother Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs.
The dynamic duo of the Kelce brothers have become so successful with their “New Heights” podcast that they’ve become a hot commodity and appear to be on the verge of changing platforms and likely being set to make a lot of money in the process, according to the New York Post.
“Travis and Jason Kelce are in serious talks about bringing their popular podcast to Amazon’s Wondery, The Post has learned.”
The new deal with Amazon could reach eight figures, which is a lot of money for a podcast about sports, but it is incredibly popular and gets some great guests on a weekly basis.
It’ll be interesting to see how this all unfolds and, if it goes through, how much the brothers end up making as a result of this new deal.
