Despite being underdogs, the Minnesota Timberwolves won back-to-back road games at Denver.

Then, as 4.5-point favorites, they dropped a must-win matchup back at home.

This may have surprised oddsmakers, but it didn’t surprise Skip Bayless at all.

Following the game, the controversial pundit took to Twitter to claim that he had already predicted the Denver Nuggets would win Game 3 because of their championship pride, and he shared his prediction on Friday’s edition of Undisputed.

As I said on today’s Undisputed, Denver will win Game 3. Championship pride. Plus Denver still has the best two players on the floor — who played that way tonight. Denver by 26 at Minnesota.

He also said that the Nuggets have the two best players in the series, adding that they finally played that way.

It was hard to think that the Nuggets would be swept, especially considering how close their season series was.

Even after the blowout in Game 2 without Rudy Gobert, it was to be expected that the Nuggets would bounce back, even if Jamal Murray wasn’t at full strength.

Then again, as to having the two best players in the series, that might be a bit of a reach.

Of course, Murray has postseason pedigree and is one of the best playoff performers in the game, not to mention an NBA champion, but he might not be a better player than Anthony Edwards, who’s perhaps the best shooting guard in the league right now.

Whatever the case, this series won’t end in just four games, and that’s excellent news for NBA fans.

The Timberwolves are still up, but hopefully, they learned their lesson and won’t look to give the defending champions another chance to get back.
