The Dallas Mavericks are no fluke.

Jason Kidd’s team has taken two straight from the Oklahoma City Thunder, and it seems like they’ve gotten their groove back.

Kyrie Irving hasn’t been as aggressive as he usually is on the court, barely driving to the rim and not even drawing contact or going to the line.

However, he’s been an outstanding facilitator in the past couple of games, running the offense, getting guys to their spots, and showing impressive chemistry with other veterans.

More than that, he just looks happy to be out there with his teammates, and it’s like we’re seeing the most mature version we’ve seen of him.

When asked about what motivated him at this point in his career, the former NBA champion gave an interesting response (Via NBA).

He talked about his desire to inspire the next generation and what it meant to compete against the best of the best on a nightly basis.

Irving has drawn plenty of criticism for his off-court antics and whatnot, and most of that has been earned.

But we cannot deny that he’s a passionate hooper as well, and he’s one of the most talented and skilled players this game has ever seen.

It took him a while, but it finally seems like he’s truly enjoying himself on the court right now.
