Ten days ago, NBA fans and analysts thought the Denver Nuggets were going to get past the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Then, people were quick to write them off after falling 0-2 at home, as if the series was already over.
The reigning NBA champions showed plenty of pride and stormed right back with a couple of wins, evening things up at two wins apiece.
Following the win in Game 4, coach Mike Malone shared his thoughts on keeping momentum on their side.
He talked about never underestimating the heart of a champion and how this team has been doubted and questioned so many times in the past (via NBA TV).
“Never underestimate the heart of a champion. They were quick to write us off… This team has been tested time and time again and we found a way to solve whatever’s been thrown at us,” Malone said.

Malone has been very critical of the way his team has been covered throughout the course of the years.
He took some major jabs at the NBA media last season for only talking about the Los Angeles Lakers, even though they were clearly the best team and were always ahead of them in the series.
Fast forward to today, and it seems like people just haven’t learned their lesson.
The Nuggets are still the defending NBA champions, yet they were all quick to write them off.
The Minnesota Timberwolves are a very good and very talented team, and they could definitely end up on top of the champions by the time the series is over; they’ve proved it.
Still, the Nuggets have been battle-tested over and over, and if anybody could come back from a 0-2 deficit and steal homecourt advantage right back, that’s definitely them.
