If you’re an NBA team hiring Tom Thibodeau, you know what you’re signing up for.

Thibs will have that team playing tough, physical, and intelligent defense, and they’re more than likely to make the playoffs.

Also, you know rookies aren’t going to play, the rotation will consist of 7-8 guys, several players will be on the court for 40+ minutes, especially in the playoffs, and chances are Taj Gibson will be on the roster at some point.

Like clockwork, he’s checked all those boxes in New York.

Now, the New York Knicks are suffering from the Thibodeau syndrome.

This team has been completely worn out, which is why Charles Barkley criticized him for not learning from his previous mistakes.

However, Kendrick Perkins doesn’t agree.

In the latest edition of “Get Up,” the former NBA champion claimed that there wasn’t much Thibodeau could do now that he’s lost four key players.

He thinks players need to give the coach a reason to play them, adding that he included Precious Achiuwa and Alec Burks in the rotation.

That’s fair, but he did have Josh Hart play every single minute of two straight games.

That has been the case in every previous stop, and perhaps he should’ve built a deeper team if he felt like he couldn’t trust half of the roster.

Also, as great a coach as he is, he’s also infamous for never getting players out of his doghouse once he gets them out of the rotation.
