Jarrett Allen has now missed six straight games with a troubling rib injury and the Cleveland Cavaliers have greatly missed him.
There isn’t a clear timetable for his return but a recent video shared by Daryl Ruiter on Twitter showed Allen practicing free throws on the court, which is a promising sign.

The Cavaliers could really use Allen’s help right now.
They are now down one game against the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference semifinals after losing Game 3 this weekend.
Even without Allen’s power and size, the Cavaliers were still able to score an important road victory in Game 2 but they still want Allen back as soon as possible.
In 2023–24, the big man averaged 16.5 points and 10.5 rebounds, scoring numerous double-doubles and holding down Cleveland’s frontcourt.
The team can find success without him but it certainly isn’t easy, especially against such a dominant team like the Celtics.
Boston happens to be short a center too, as Kristaps Porzingis is still out with his own injury.
Now fans for both squads are hoping their team is the one to see their big man return first.
Although this video is proof that the Cavaliers star is headed in the right direction, it doesn’t give any indication of when he might be back.
Sadly, injuries have plagued the Cavaliers all season, with numerous players missing games for lengthy amounts of time.
Allen has been one of the healthiest stars on the team, only missing a few games at the start of the season.
This is now his longest absence of the year and it’s coming at the worst time so the Cavaliers are hoping he is back as soon as possible.
