As most would probably predict, the Kansas City Chiefs are kicking off the NFL season after winning a second consecutive Super Bowl.
They will be hosting the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday, September 5, in a rematch of January’s AFC Championship Game.
According to NBC Sports Bet, Kansas City is the clear favorite to win that game as things currently stand.

The Chiefs are presently 3-point favorites, which seems fair given how much they’ve dominated Baltimore during the career of Patrick Mahomes.
Kansas City is 5-1 against the Ravens since 2018, which was Lamar Jackson’s rookie season.
This should be a fantastic game to kick off the 2024 season.
Now, Jackson and Mahomes are both multi-time MVP winners and two of the best at their position in the sport.
Especially with Baltimore’s addition of one of the best running backs of this era in Derrick Henry, this renewed rivalry should definitely grab headlines in Week 1.
It would not be a surprise at all if these two faced off in the postseason too.
Both are real Super Bowl contenders.
Aside from their great quarterbacks, they each have great tight ends in Travis Kelce and Mark Andrews.
Both teams also have elite defenses that strike fear into opposing offenses.
Chris Jones, Roquan Smith, Marlon Humphrey, and Kyle Hamilton are just some of the great defensive names that will take the field that night too.
Andy Reid and John Harbaugh are also two of the best head coaches this league has seen in the last two decades.
It will be a great matchup, but for now, Kansas City is the favorite.
