With the New Orleans Pelicans flaming out in the NBA playoffs once again, losing to the top-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder in four games in the first round, the team’s brass seems determined to shake things up during this NBA offseason.

It seems as though the Pelicans have a renewed confidence in superstar forward Zion Williamson, even though injuries continue to be a problem, which has switched the narrative to trading Brandon Ingram this summer.

Ingram was unable to put the team on his back during the first round against the Thunder, and it seems obvious that it is time for a change in New Orleans, with the former No. 2 overall pick likely to be traded before next season.

According to NBA insider Marc Stein, Ingram getting traded this summer appears to be inevitable, with four teams in particular expected to show interest in the 26-year-old forward, via NBACentral.

“League sources say that Ingram’s exit is increasingly viewed by various league observers as an inevitability rather than a possibility,” Stein said. “A handful of Eastern Conference teams (Philadelphia, Cleveland, Atlanta and Orlando) have already been mentioned as potential trade suitors for Ingram.”

It’ll be interesting to see how the trade market develops for Ingram’s services, especially if it is inevitable that he will be moved this summer.

Although Ingram is clearly not a No. 1 option, he could be a solid No. 2 or No. 3 for a team like the 76ers, Cavs, Hawks, or Magic.

All four of those teams mentioned are expected to make moves during the offseason, which makes sense given their interest in Ingram moving forward.
