The San Francisco 49ers had another dominant season in 2023.
While they weren’t able to take home the Lombardi Trophy, they did make it back to the title game, a sign that this team still has a lot of life.
Brock Purdy has continued to impress with his leadership of this team, making their offense stronger than it has been in recent seasons.
The 49ers’ defense was also one of the best in the league last year, making up for any shortfalls their offense might have had.
Despite having one of the best defenses in the league every year, the 49ers are always looking for ways to grow.
As it was reported on Twitter by the 49ers on NBCS, they recently signed Shakel Brown, who most recently played for the Tennessee Titans.

Brown seemed to shine in his minicamp tryout, and as a result, the 49ers gave him a chance with this contract.
This is a great opportunity for Brown to not only get a fresh start, but to learn from some of the best defensive minds in the league.
He can also pick up information from some of the 49ers’ best defensive players, such as Dre Greenlaw, Fred Warner, and Nick Bosa.
If he is a sponge during practice and team meetings, this could end up being a great opportunity for Brown.
The 49ers seem to find diamonds in the rough every season, especially on the defensive side of the ball.
Can Brown be the type of solid depth piece they are looking for?
