The Dallas Mavericks couldn’t keep the momentum going.
The Oklahoma City Thunder took care of business late in the game, erasing a 14-point deficit to secure a four-point win.
Mark Daigneault’s team did an outstanding job on defense, holing Kyrie Irving to nine points.
PJ Washington stepped up big time with 21 points and 12 rebounds, while Derrick Jones Jr. put up 17.
Luka Doncic, on the other hand, cooled off after an impressive start to the game, scoring 18 points on 6-of-20 from the floor and 2-of-9 from beyond the arc.
He did finish the game with a triple-double, but he also turned the ball over seven times.
That’s why, following the win, NBA analyst Jason Timpf called him out and stated that he must find a way to cut down on his mistakes (via The Volume).

He stated that there are no excuses for Doncic, as he’s not the only player who’s hurt at this point in the season, nor is he the only player who’s getting fouled and bumped around by an elite perimeter defense.
Timpf also claims that Doncic isn’t the only primary ball-handler in the playoffs, so there’s no room for excuses at this point.
Truth be told, you can tell that his knee is bothering him, and that’s a major handicap to play basketball at the highest level.
Then again, his decision-making has also been subpar, and if he cannot make an impact as a scorer, he needs to do so as a floor general.
