The Dallas Mavericks had all momentum in the series, and it felt like they missed a big chance to put the Oklahoma City Thunder against the ropes.
They had seemed to crack the code as to how to stop their efficient offense, forcing Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Jalen Williams to take heavily-contested and forced shots.
Their defense was on point again in Game 4.
Unfortunately, their top-notch backcourt was nowhere to be found on the other end of the floor.
That’s why former NBA player Timhoty Legler called out Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving after the loss.
Talking on ESPN’s Get Up, Legler stated that Irving and Doncic failed to deliver when the team needed them the most, and he was right on point.

Irving scored nine points, while Doncic had 18 on 20 shots.
Any time your two best players combine for 27 points, chances are you’re going to lose.
Even so, the Mavs still lost by just four points, so there should be some hope for the future.
The series will now travel to Oklahoma City for Game 5, with both teams winning a couple of games apiece.
That’s also a major concern for Luka Doncic, who’s been limping and hobbling around since the start of the series, and he cannot afford this series to go for much longer.
