The Cleveland Cavaliers lost their game against the Boston Celtics on Monday night in front of a sold-out home crowd.
And one of the people in attendance for the game was LeBron James, the Cavaliers legend and hometown hero for many people in Ohio.
He was there to support the team and root for them but Skip Bayless believes James showed up for another reason.
On Twitter, he shared his opinion about James’ attendance.
Bayless wrote:
“Did I see LeBron at the Cavs game in Cleveland? Brilliant! He shows up on the night the Cavs are without their two best players, making sure he doesn’t risk a big Cavs win and fans yelling (or at least thinking), ‘We don’t miss you.’”

According to Bayless, James was only there so he could soak in the cheers and appreciation of the fans in Cleveland.
Bayless proposes that James chose to attend a game that was without both Jarrett Allen and Donovan Mitchell.
In other words, he elected to go because the Cavaliers were likely going to lose and that would make people fondly remember his time with the team.
Bayless’ comments received a ton of backlash online and many people said that he was silly for thinking James was there for any reason aside from his love of the team.
No matter where he goes and who he plays for, Ohio is still his home and the Cavaliers will always hold a special place in his heart.
Based on the way the crowd reacted, they will also always love James, regardless of the jersey he wears.
Bayless claims that James was at the game for nefarious reasons to boost his ego but in all likelihood, he was there simply to be a fan.
