We’re still waiting to get a full grasp of the schedule for the 2024 NFL season, but we’ve already gotten a glimpse of some key matchups.

Notably, that includes the first Thursday Night Football game of the year.

As reported by ESPN insider Adam Schefter, the Miami Dolphins will face the Buffalo Bills on September 12.

It’s hard to think of a better way to kick off the season.

The Dolphins held a big lead in the AFC East last year before a late-campaign collapse.

The Bills went the opposite way, getting off to a slow start before closing out the season on a high note.

Josh Allen’s side has been the most prominent team in the AFC East since Tom Brady left the New England Patriots, but that might change once and for all this season.

The Bills lost some firepower in the offseason, all while the Dolphins held onto most of their core.

Mike McDaniel’s team boasts the most explosive offense in the game.

Tyreek Hill is back to full strength, and so is De’Von Achane, and that bodes trouble for the rest of the league, including a defensively sound team like the Bills.

This could be a high-scoring matchup between two teams with Super Bowl aspirations.

Hopefully, the rest of the schedule will feature games of this caliber, as the fans haven’t exactly enjoyed some of the matchups we’ve gotten on Thursday Night Football over the past couple of years.
