Dean Wade of the Cleveland Cavaliers has been able to help his team for the last two games after months of being away due to knee problems.

But it sounds like those problems are far from solved.

Speaking to Chris Fedor, Wade opened up about his physical troubles.

“There’s still concern,” Wade said, without getting into too much detail.

He added, “We’ll see what happens after the season. We had options and we took this option as the best path.”

Wade is making it clear that offseason surgery might be needed for the knee issues that he can’t shake.

His participation in these last two games is a good sign but he’s obviously not out of the woods yet and the only true solution will be some sort of medical intervention.

The fact that he has been cleared to play recently means that the injury isn’t too serious but it’s still a problem that he hasn’t been able to get rid of.

For the season, Wade has averaged 5.4 points and 4 rebounds during his 54 games.

He left the team back in March and only came back days ago during the current series against the Boston Celtics.

Wade is just one of many Cavaliers players who have been hit with the injury bug.

Again and again in 2023–24, Cleveland has seen numerous stars take time off because of their physical problems.

Although Wade was back in the game on Monday night, the Cavaliers were missing two of the biggest stars: Jarrett Allen and Donovan Mitchell.

The team is now down 3-1 to the Celtics and desperate to win on Wednesday night.

Wade should be back for that game but it’s unclear how much he will be able to help until this knee injury is resolved for good.
