One thing that the Falcons cannot afford to have happen in 2024 is injuries.
That cannot happen because their talented, yet young roster isn’t good enough to overcome injuries.
Their new quarterback in four-time Pro-Bowler Kirk Cousins is coming off of his own Achilles injury that shut him down for 2023.
Everyone needs to be healthy for this team to truly be great.
Apparently, they aren’t off to a great start in that department.
According to Falcons reporter Tori McElhaney, running backs Bijan Robinson (ankle) and Jase McClellan (foot), along with All-Pro defensive tackle Grady Jarrett (knee), all did not practice today due to injury.

Injuries are always something that can derail the season of a hopeful playoff team.
Just look at the New York Jets last season.
The Falcons took a page from the Jets this offseason as they added a prized veteran quarterback in free agency.
The problem for Cousins is that he is coming off of his own major injury.
Aaron Rodgers didn’t have an Achilles issue prior to signing with the Jets and getting hurt.
There is an even greater risk for Cousins in 2024 than there was for Rodgers in 2023.
Head coach Raheem Morris and the Falcons need to stay healthy if they want to challenge the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New Orleans Saints in the NFC South.
Bijan Robinson nearly recorded 1,500 scrimmage yards as a rookie.
Grady Jarrett has been a franchise cornerstone for close to a decade now.
Atlanta cannot afford to have these key players miss time.
