Stephen A. Smith has been a sports analyst for a very long time and has made a ton of predictions during his career.
But according to him, he made his worst prediction ever last week.
On Wednesday’s “First Take,” Smith said his claim that the Minnesota Timberwolves would sweep the Denver Nuggets was his most inaccurate and embarrassing projection ever.
“Right now, the Minnesota Timberwolves have me looking like I have made the worst prediction in the history of my career. I’ve never been more embarrassed by a prediction that I have made,” Smith said.

No one is blaming Smith for thinking that the Timberwolves were going to sweep the Nuggets, especially because of the state of the series at that time.
When he made this claim, the Nuggets had just lost their first two games to Minnesota, a stunning shock that few people saw coming.
They weren’t playing like champions and instead appeared defeated and completely out of sorts.
A lot has changed since then.
Now it’s the Timberwolves who look out of gas and unable to contain their opponents and they have lost three straight games.
In just a week, the Nuggets have reminded everyone why they are the reigning NBA champions and why they should never be counted out.
Nikola Jokic has played like the MVP he is, while the Timberwolves haven’t been performing as well as they were just days ago.
Many people made the same prediction that Smith did and nearly everyone is changing their tune and now assumes the Nuggets will win.
The Timberwolves still have a chance to turn things around but it’ll be very tough if they keep playing as they have.
A sweep is now impossible but is there any chance that Minnesota can still claim this series?
