Luka Doncic Made NBA History On Wednesday

Luka Doncic isn’t the fastest, strongest, or most athletic guy in the NBA.

He might not even be in the best shape among his peers.

However, that has never stopped him from dominating the game, making everybody else play at his pace, and posting video game-like numbers — which usually translate to winning.

That happened again on Wednesday night when the Dallas Mavericks took one on the road vs. the Oklahoma City Thunder to secure a 3-2 lead in the series.

The Slovenian superstar was at his best, logging 31 points with 10 rebounds, 11 dimes, one block, five triples, and just five turnovers on 12-of-22 from the field.

That impressive stat line put him in a privileged position in NBA playoff history.

Luka Doncic’s third 30-point triple-double of his postseason career ties him for second-most such games by a player aged 25 or younger.

As shared by NBA.com/Stats on social media, this was Luka’s third 30-point triple-double of his postseason career, which ties him with LeBron James for second-most such games by a player aged 25 or younger behind the legendary Oscar Robertson (7) and puts him ahead of Russell Westbrook (2).

When you’re in the company of the two triple-double kings on one list, you know you’re doing great things, and the same applies for being in the same club as LeBron James.

The Mavericks haven’t been this close to the NBA Finals in quite a while, but they still need to finish the job vs. Oklahoma and then take care of whoever they face in the next round.

And while it’ll be way easier said than done, anything is possible with Luka Doncic on the court.
