The Cleveland Cavaliers are facing a major crossroads in the offseason.

There were multiple reports about J.B. Bickerstaff coaching for his job in the second round of the playoffs.

And if that was the case, then it wouldn’t be shocking to see him update his LinkedIn profile very soon.

With that in mind, Aaron Goldhammer and Tony Rizzo discussed the Cavs’ future on ESPN Cleveland.

“This team right here, you can not roll this back next year,” – @TheRealTRizzo on changes coming to the Cavs.

Per Rizzo, it makes sense to part ways with the coach.

He claims that even though Bickerstaff has had a good run there and that he wouldn’t want him to get fired, he wants to see this core of players with a new coach.

Nonetheless, there are also major concerns about the moves they could make in the offseason, as they could either stay in contention or take a major step back.

Also, Donovan Mitchell’s situation and potential contract extension loom large in Ohio.

Truth be told, even if Mitchell stays, the Cavaliers don’t have a championship-caliber roster right now.

They don’t have enough depth, and there are doubts about four of their stars being able to coexist on the court.

Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley are both non-shooting bigs, and Darius Garland and Mitchell are both ball-dominant guards.

Bickerstaff was out-coached multiple times in his playoff career, and whichever route this team decides to go, they might have no choice but to make some big trades in the offseason.

Whether they’ll part ways with Mitchell, Garland, Allen, or Mobley remains to be seen, but no one should be untouchable right now in Cleveland.
