Immediately after the Cleveland Cavaliers were knocked out of the second round of the NBA playoffs by the top-seeded Boston Celtics, the rumors started swirling about head coach J.B. Bickerstaff’s future and whether the team would trade Donovan Mitchell or Darius Garland.
The Mitchell rumors are not anything new, as there has been speculation swirling around the league for about a year now, with everyone seemingly convinced that he doesn’t want to sign an extension with the team and would like to be traded elsewhere.
Along with rumors about Garland wanting a trade if Mitchell signs an extension with the Cavaliers, some news has been leaking out of Cleveland about how the superstar guard feels about his teammates, and it’s not a great look heading into an uncertain future in the NBA.
It seems as though Mitchell is getting tired of seeing his name in the headlines on a daily basis in Cleveland, as he fired back at the scathing report about how he feels about his Cavaliers teammates via his Twitter account.

At this point, the Cavaliers simply aren’t good enough to compete in the Eastern Conference with the Celtics, New York Knicks, and other heavyweights, which are clearly better all-around teams.
That said, Mitchell getting frustrated makes a lot of sense, especially considering how much talent there is on this Cavaliers team, like Garland, Jarrett Allen, and Evan Mobley.
Whether Mitchell said this or not, it seems increasingly likely that he won’t be returning to Cleveland next season and will be traded at some point during the summer.
