Over the past few months, there’s been a lot of debate and speculation about Bronny James’ immediate future and whether he’ll even get selected in one of the two rounds of the 2024 NBA Draft on June 26 and June 27.
At one point in time, many were convinced that James would not get drafted, as he had a less-than-stellar freshman season coming off the bench for the University of Southern California, and unlike his superstar father, LeBron James, is really undersized at 6-foot-1 without much of an upside offensively.
However, with more coverage and hype over the last couple of weeks, Bronny James appears to be headed toward being drafted at some point during the upcoming draft next month.
During the NBA Draft Combine, Bronny put on a show with his shooting from beyond the arc and seems to have played well when prospects went head-to-head in five-on-five games, according to Jonathan Givony of Draft Express, via NBA on ESPN.
“People love [Bronny’s] attitude, his enthusiasm, the way he understands what type of player that he is,” Givony said.

The real question moving forward is where Bronny will be taken in the upcoming draft, whether in the first or second round, and which team is willing to take him.
There’s been a lot of momentum toward the Los Angeles Lakers drafting him to help convince LeBron to stay with the team long-term, but it remains to be seen if that happens or if another team tries to get ahead of Los Angeles.
