Many questions are still swirling around the Cleveland Cavaliers, especially in relation to Donovan Mitchell, Darius Garland, and head coach J.B. Bickerstaff.
But it seems clear that the team is still all-in on Evan Mobley.
According to Brian Windhorst, per Evan Sidery, the Cavaliers are likely to offer Mobley a rookie-scale max contract extension this summer.
Speaking on the “Hoop Collective” podcast, Windhorst said the team will probably extend Mobley at the start of July.

During his time with the Cavaliers, Mobley has averaged 15.6 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.5 blocks.
This year, he put up 15.7 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 3.2 assists on 58% from the field.
He has been an important part of the team’s frontcourt since the start of his NBA career and the Cavaliers obviously want him to remain.
The major question is who will also be with the big man when the new season begins.
There has been a lot of speculation about the pairing of Mobley with Jarrett Allen.
When the two players were paired together, it was thought that they’d create one of the best defensive lineups in the NBA.
And while they have done great work together, their combined offensive output hasn’t impressed many.
Therefore, a lot of people assume that the duo of Mobley and Allen will be broken up soon.
Since the Cavaliers are looking to re-sign Mobley, does that mean that Allen will be departing Cleveland this summer?
Mobley has been able to prove himself a lot during Allen’s recent absence, which makes it more likely that they won’t play together next season.
It sounds like multiple changes are coming to the Cavaliers but Mobley will be there to witness them all.
