In the last few days, Bronny James has become a much more attractive draft prospect to many teams across the NBA.
Of course, the Los Angeles Lakers are still a team that everyone should watch when talking about drafting the son of LeBron.
According to the Los Angeles Times, via NBACentral, the Lakers have done their due diligence and interviewed James.
“In terms of the draft, the Lakers seem like they’ll be the draft floor for Bronny James at pick 55, a player the team conducted an interview with in Chicago, according to sources not authorized to publicly discuss draft strategy,” the Times reported.

Based on the reporting, the Lakers could use their 55th draft pick to land James next month after the week he has had, but that might not be good enough to sign him.
James wasn’t receiving much buzz when he submitted his name for the draft weeks ago but his work at the NBA Combine has changed that.
He has shown great athleticism, defense, and on-court skills that most people didn’t expect after his singular season with USC.
Therefore, the Lakers won’t be the only team thinking of getting him.
Reportedly, the Utah Jazz are another franchise that has an eye on James and there may be more that enter the discussion in the weeks ahead.
This goes to show that the NBA Combine is a great opportunity for young players to impress and positively change the narrative around them.
The Lakers want James for several reasons, most notably because it would make his father happy.
But after his time at the combine, James is wanted for more than just the association he has with his dad.
