The New Orleans Saints are slated to run with the bulk of their offensive unit from the 2023 NFL season during the 2024 campaign.
Derek Carr remains the starting quarterback after a disappointing first year in New Orleans, but he’ll have weapons in Chris Olave and Alvin Kamara to work with.
There’s also a young group of receivers in Rashid Shaheed, A.T. Perry, and Bub Means who will look to carve out roles in the passing game.
One intriguing name to keep an eye out for is Spencer Rattler, whom the Saints took with the No. 150 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Rattler was considered the best quarterback prospect after the top-6 in the class, but somehow slid all the way down to Day 3 after most projected him to go somewhere late in Day 2.
The former South Carolina signal-caller will be developing behind the scenes for the foreseeable future, but fans got a chance to see him in a full New Orleans outfit via the team’s official Twitter account.

The photos show that Rattler will sport No. 18 for the Saints, though he likely won’t see the field in 2024 barring an injury to Carr.
While not the most athletic quarterback prospect, Rattler showed his arm talent in college and got better each year he played.
There are some evaluators who believe he can develop into a starter at some point in the league, so New Orleans may have gotten a value pick in him if he’s able to pan out.
