The Indiana Pacers showed how strong their sense of will and competitive fire is after they took Game 6 over the New York Knicks to force a Game 7.

The Pacers looked like they were on the ropes after losing Game 5, but they showed a real sense of resiliency in Game 6 by taking it to the Knicks who looked worn down.

Now, Indiana heads back on the road to New York for a Game 7 that will surely deliver given the nature of the series.

The star guards of Jalen Brunson and Tyrese Haliburton will lead the way, though the supporting cast for each team has shown up in key moments.

This series has drawn comparisons to the two teams’ previous matchups in the postseason from the 90s, famously featuring Patrick Ewing and Reggie Miller.

Ahead of the highly-anticipated Game 7, the Pacers reminded fans of what happened the last time the team was in a Game 7 situation at Madison Square Garden, via the team’s official Twitter account.

In the video clip, Ewing is seen on the Knicks’ final possession taking the inbound pass and spinning his way into the lane where he blows a layup that would’ve forced an overtime.

The Pacers’ announcers erupt with excitement after the final horn goes off, and it’ll be interesting to see if history repeats itself when Game 7 tips off on Sunday.
