Few, if any players in the NBA playoffs have seen their stocks rise quite like Anthony Edwards has this postseason, as he has led his Minnesota Timberwolves to their first playoff series win in 20 years and now has them ready for a Game 7 against the defending champion Denver Nuggets in the second round at just 22 years old.

His demeanor and composure have been on full display and are a big reason why this team is changing the narrative that has plagued it for decades, and his confidence is unsurprisingly sky-high ahead of Game 7.

Sam Amick of The Athletic wrote an article about Edwards leading up to this decisive game and shared a quote from Ant that gives us a glimpse into where his head is at, saying “We feel like we’re just the better team.”

Edwards added “The two previous games don’t mean anything because they beat our a** on our home court (in Game 3 and 4). That don’t mean anything. Right now, it’s just about who’s going to play better tomorrow.”

Edwards is averaging 30.2 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 5.8 assists per game on 53.5 percent shooting in the postseason so far and has many saying he is the next face of the NBA.

He has the opportunity in Game 7 to do something historic and take out the 3-time MVP Nikola Jokic.

A win would put the Wolves in the Conference Finals for the second time in team history and set up a matchup with the Dallas Mavericks.

There truly are no better two words in sports than Game 7.
