With the NBA playoffs in full swing, this is not the time of year to start thinking about which coaches are going to be fired next season, but some people just can’t help themselves.
There was chatter at the NBA Combine surrounding three NBA coaches who some executives believe will enter next season on the hot seat.
Evan Sidery of Forbes shared an article from The Athletic’s John Hollinger that detailed everything he heard at the NBA Combine, and he mentioned the three coaches who could be on the hot seat next season, naming Taylor Jenkins of the Memphis Grizzlies, Willie Green of the New Orleans Pelicans, and Chauncey Billups of the Portland Trail Blazers.

This isn’t the first fans have heard of Billups potentially being on the hot seat, as there have been reports of other teams monitoring the situation to potentially pounce on Billups as an assistant coach to add to their staff if he and Portland part ways.
Green’s Pelicans are at a turning point after a disappointing sweep in the first round of the playoffs, and this will be a pivotal offseason where the franchise has to take the next step otherwise things could get dicey.
Jenkins got a pass on this past season due to so many players being injured, but expectations will be high once again with Ja Morant and Desmond Bane back healthy.
You never want to see anyone get fired, but that is the unfortunate nature of the business.
With the Western Conference being as competitive as ever, these three coaches have their work cut out for them.
