The Dallas Mavericks and Minnesota Timberwolves are four wins away from the NBA Finals.
Unfortunately, only one of them will be able to move on to the next round.
Needless to say, this is going to be quite difficult to predict, as we’re talking about two tough and hardnosed teams that have pulled off big upsets to get to this point.
The Timberwolves swept Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns in round one, while the Dallas Mavericks got past the Los Angeles Clippers.
Then, Jason Kidd’s squad took down the No. 1 seed in the Oklahoma City Thunder, and the Timberwolves defeated the defending NBA champions, the Denver Nuggets.
Now, Pro Football Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe is leaning towards the Mavericks to get the job done again.

Talking on his Nightcap show, he claimed that he thinks Jaden McDaniels would pick up Luka Doncic on defense, with Anthony Edwards taking care of Kyrie Irving.
Even so, he believes Jason Kidd’s team will punch their ticket to the NBA Finals.
This will be an interesting matchup, especially in the frontcourt.
The Timberwolves should have an edge down low with Karl-Anthony Towns, Rudy Gobert, and Naz Reid, but they’ll go against some bruisers in PJ Washington, Daniel Gafford, and Dereck Lively.
Minnesota also has an edge in terms of coaching, but anything can happen whenever you have that much talent on the court.
Whatever the case, only one thing’s for sure: This will be one of the most exciting and unpredictable series in quite a while.
