Josh Giddey of the Oklahoma City Thunder just concluded his third season in the NBA and it was filled with a number of ups and downs, both on and off the court.
He spoke to the press this weekend after his team’s defeat at the hands of the Dallas Mavericks, and Giddey became quite emotional.
According to a video shared by NBACentral, Giddey said that this season was hard for him but he was able to turn to his teammates and lean on them.
He said feeling the support of everyone in the Thunder organization helped him get through his hard times.

Giddey’s words came after his role with the team was adjusted during their last few games of the season.
Although he impressed during the team’s sweep against the New Orleans Pelicans with an average of 12.5 points, he didn’t play as well during the first few games against the Mavericks.
Because of that, he was pulled out of the starting five for the last two games of the season.
Giddey publicly said that he agreed with the choice to bench him but there is no doubt that it was still very hard, even though he was attempting to stay positive.
Now the Thunder have to decide what’s next for Giddey.
There is speculation that he could be traded to another team after an inconsistent season and some negative headlines.
Perhaps Giddey knows he could be leaving the Thunder soon and that is part of why he was emotional during this press conference.
He made it clear that he loves playing for the Thunder and wishes to remain in Oklahoma City, but that might not be in the cards for the 21-year-old star.
