Countless people were shocked by the Denver Nuggets’ loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday night, including NBA legend Paul Pierce.
Pierce spoke about the Nuggets’ defeat on Monday morning’s “Undisputed” and laid the blame at the feet of the team’s stars.
He said they all needed to show up and play hard and they clearly did not.
That was bad enough but was made even worse because the Timberwolves got their act together in the second half and outscored them, 60-37.

Pierce said he expected so much more from multiple Nuggets stars, including Aaron Gordon, Michael Porter Jr., Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, and even sharpshooter Jamal Murray.
Murray, for example, went just 1-of-7 from the three-point line in the second half of the game, giving the Timberwolves multiple opportunities to drive up their score.
The Nuggets lost three games during this series and every defeat was at home, which is shocking to see from a team that has been so strong in Denver all season.
The Timberwolves just found a way to outplay the reigning champions, even with their home-court advantage.
Some people are commenting about how the Nuggets fell apart during Sunday’s game but many others are saying that this was an example of just how truly competitive the Timberwolves are.
They aren’t afraid of any challenge, no matter how big, and that was very apparent during this series.
Now the Timberwolves have moved past the Nuggets and are on their way to the Western Conference Finals against the Dallas Mavericks.
No matter what happens next for the team, they should be very proud of the way they dismantled the Nuggets.
