The Indiana Pacers and Boston Celtics are due to face off for this year’s Eastern Conference Finals.

While this is a familiar position for the Celtics given their recent success, the Pacers haven’t made it to the conference finals in a decade.

Conventional wisdom might indicate that the Celtics are going to blow them out of the water in this series, given their playoff experience in recent seasons.

While they are the clear favorites to win the series, the Pacers have reached this point for a reason.

Brendan Haywood recently appeared on Sirius XM NBA Radio, where he outlined a key factor for the Pacers.

“They have proved they can score the basketball,” Haywood said.

The Pacers started the playoffs as a fun, young team, but not a lot of people took them seriously.

However, after taking down the Milwaukee Bucks in Round 1 and the New York Knicks in Round 2, they have proven themselves as a worthy adversary.

They have become more comfortable as a unit, which has allowed this team to play more freely.

As a result, they are scoring more points per game than many people expected, which will be a true challenge for the Celtics.

Yes, the Celtics have a star-studded duo in Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum, but they can’t rest on their laurels.

The Pacers have a lot of energy after their emotional series win over the Knicks, and at this point, they’re playing with house money.

Will they be able to shock the NBA world again and beat the Celtics?
