The Jacksonville Jaguars are ready to give their franchise quarterback some long-term stability and major cashflow.
But, what is the target point for both Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars?
According to the NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, Lawrence is hoping to get $50 million per year at least.
“That’s the target point for all these quarterbacks…The way that the salary cap is going and the way that the marketplace has gone, there’s no reason for any of the top quarterbacks who are coming up to think that they shouldn’t be pushing that number,” Pelissero recently stated on The Rich Eisen Show.

Despite some inconsistency from either Lawrence or the team over his three-year career, Lawrence has proven himself to be a quality franchise quarterback.
The Pro Bowl quarterback has guided the Jaguars to back-to-back .500-or-better seasons.
Jacksonville hasn’t done that since 2006-2007.
He also guided them to their first playoff win since 2017 in 2022.
In that Wildcard Round game, the Jaguars were at one point down 27-0 to the Chargers at halftime.
They overcame five turnovers and the third-largest deficit in postseason history to come out victorious.
Lawrence is the leader of this team and is worth the money.
He did play hurt last season, which is one of the biggest reasons why the team failed to make the playoffs.
This team added weapons this offseason in veteran receiver Gabe Davis and first-round receiver Brian Thomas Jr.
Look for the former national champion in Lawrence to prove he is worth the new contract that he will get in 2024.
