For the first time in two decades — and the second time in franchise history — the Minnesota Timberwolves are back in the Western Conference Finals.

They have the best defense in the game, and they’ve proven that they won’t back down from any challenge regardless of the situation, the deficit, or the opposition.

That’s why former player Antonio Daniels tipped his hat to them.

Talking on SiriusXM NBA Radio, the veteran gushed about the Timberwolves and the way they were able to deal with adversity, take the punches, and fight back not only in Game 7 but also in Game 6.

“I can’t even put into words how impressed I am with the Minnesota Timberwolves”

Per Daniels, this is precisely why you never want to go into a Game 7, as literally anything can happen, and the Denver Nuggets never really knew what hit them in the second half of that game.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are a resilient team that has shown that they can win games in a variety of ways, but one thing’s for sure: They’re going to bully you on the defensive end of the floor.

While Rudy Gobert is an elite rim protector and the reigning Defensive Player of the Year, Jaden McDaniels has grown to become one of the best defensive players in the game.

His matchup with Luka Doncic is going to be a beauty to watch, and the Timberwolves have made it fun to watch defense being played again, and that’s huge at a time when teams don’t even bother trying on that end of the floor anymore.
